Lauren started CrossFit to help with her high school Basketball game, where she was part of the winning team for two state championships. While in high school, she also competed competitively in power lifting. Both sports have helped her excel not only in CrossFit, but also as a competitor for the US Junior Weightlifting team. Lauren is one of the youngest competitors to compete on the main stage of the CrossFit Games. She has had a total of four appearances at The CrossFit Games.
She currently lives in San Diego, where she attends San Diego State University. She trains with her brother Garret at CrossFit Invictus.
HOW DO YOU USE YOUR COMPEX DEVICE?
The Compex is a necessity in my gym bag. I like to use it as a warm up every day before I train.
WHY DO YOU LOVE IT?
Compex was a huge help in rehabilitation for my ankle surgery! The pre-warm up cycle worked great to promote blood flow and reduce swelling post-surgery. Compex has been a game changer in my recovery!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PROGRAM?
My favorite program is the pre-warmup. I love using it on my ankle before I train and especially on my shoulders to make sure my muscles feel warm and ready to go.
HOW HAS COMPEX HELPED YOUR TRAINING?
Compex has been very beneficial for my training especially for my leg strength post op. I wasn't able to squat for 4 months, but I was diligent in using the Compex strength program every other day on my hamstrings and my quads, and I feel like I was able to pick up right where I left off with almost no change in my overall leg strength.
